Terms of Service
Last updated: April 7, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of Ferrumium and its related website features (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Community Guidelines. Each document governs its own subject matter.
Service model note: Ferrumium does not sell goods or paid digital products on this website. Optional support via Patreon or Ko-fi does not grant paid access to core features.
1. Free Service and No On-Site Sales
- The Service is offered free of charge.
- No item, subscription, license, or feature on this website is sold directly for payment.
- Access to core features is not conditioned on making a payment or donation.
2. Voluntary Support (Patreon and Ko-fi)
- You may choose to support the project voluntarily through Patreon or Ko-fi.
- Patreon and Ko-fi transactions are processed by those platforms under their own terms, billing, tax (including VAT where applicable), and refund policies.
- Any refund requests for Patreon or Ko-fi transactions must be handled through those platforms. We cannot issue refunds for third-party payments from this website.
- We do not process or store your payment card details on this website.
- We do not issue tax-deductible donation receipts through this website.
- Any platform-level perks or acknowledgements do not convert the Service into a paid product or subscription.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must comply with applicable minimum age requirements in your jurisdiction. If you are a minor, you may only use the Service with the consent of your parent or legal guardian.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it reasonably up to date.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts when reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or repeated policy violations.
4. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service for illegal, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
- Do not attempt to disrupt platform security, availability, or integrity.
- Do not scrape or automate access in ways that harm the Service or violate applicable law.
- Do not upload malware, attempt credential stuffing, or try to access other users' accounts without authorization.
5. User Content
- You retain ownership of content you submit, upload, or post to the Service ("User Content").
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, modify (for formatting and display), and display your User Content as necessary to operate, improve, and secure the Service.
- You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not violate applicable law or the rights of others.
- We may remove or restrict User Content and accounts when reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, security, or platform integrity.
- If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, you can report it through the Contact channel in the website footer. Please include links and sufficient detail for review.
6. Collaboration and Shared Projects
- The Service allows you to collaborate on factory plans and other projects with other users through invite codes and role-based access (such as editor or viewer roles).
- When you share a project or accept an invite, collaborators can view and, depending on their role, edit the shared content. You are responsible for managing who has access to your projects.
- Shared projects may be accessed via unique share codes. You can revoke access or regenerate share codes at any time through your project settings.
- We are not responsible for actions taken by collaborators within shared projects. If a collaborator misuses shared content, you may report it through the Contact channel.
- Deleting a shared project or removing a collaborator does not retroactively remove any copies or derivatives they may have created outside the platform.
7. Intellectual Property
Unless stated otherwise, the Service design, code, branding, and original site content are owned by or licensed to Ferrumium. You may not copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit them except as permitted by law or explicit written permission.
8. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites and services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Patreon and Ko-fi are third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms and policies.
9. Availability, Changes, and Termination
- We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service.
- We may limit or terminate access for serious misuse, security risks, or legal obligations.
- We may update these Terms. Material updates will be posted with a new date.
11. Disclaimer and Liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
To the extent permitted by law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory legal protections in your country of residence remain unaffected.
Where required by mandatory law, you may bring claims in the competent courts of your place of residence.
If you have a dispute, please contact us first through the site contact form so we can attempt to resolve it. Note: the EU ODR platform was discontinued on July 20, 2025.
