The Profile page lets you change your avatar, username, email, and display name. Open it from Settings > Account > Profile, or go directly to /settings?tab=profile.

The page has two sections: Avatar and Profile Information. Avatar changes are uploaded immediately when you select a file. Profile information changes (username, email, display name) are saved when you click Save Changes.

Avatar

You can upload a profile picture that appears next to your name across the site.

To set or replace your avatar:

1. Open the Avatar section.
2. Click the upload area or drag an image onto it.
3. The preview updates immediately so you can confirm the image looks right.

Accepted formats:

• PNG
• JPG
• GIF
• WebP

The file must be under 5 MB. If you pick a file that is too large or in an unsupported format, an error message appears and the upload is blocked.

Profile information

Three fields are available in the Profile Information section:

• Username - your unique handle on the site.
• Email - the email address tied to your account.
• Display Name - the name shown to other users. This can differ from your username.

Edit any combination of these fields. The Save Changes button stays disabled until at least one field differs from its current value.

Saving changes

After you edit one or more fields, click Save Changes. While the save is in progress the button text changes to Saving... and the button is disabled to prevent duplicate submissions.

If the save succeeds, a green banner appears at the top of the page confirming the update. The banner disappears after a few seconds.

If something goes wrong, a red error banner appears instead with a description of the problem. You can correct the field and try again.
