Connected Accounts
How linked accounts and providers work.
Connected accounts let you link external services to your Ferrumium account. You can use them to sign up, log in, or attach a profile from another platform.
Available providers
Ferrumium supports the following OAuth providers:
- Discord - Sign up, log in, or link your Discord profile to your Ferrumium account.
- Steam - Sign up, log in, or link your Steam profile.
- Patreon - Sign up, log in, or link your Patreon account to activate a supporter tier and badge.
Google and Reddit login are under review and will be available soon.
Linking a provider during sign-up or login
When you create an account or sign in, you can choose any supported provider instead of using an email and password.
- On the login or registration screen, click the button for the provider you want (for example,
Continue with Discord). - Authorize Ferrumium in the provider's OAuth prompt.
- Your Ferrumium account is created or logged in automatically.
If you already have a Ferrumium account with a different login method, signing in through a new provider links that provider to your existing account.
Linking Patreon
You can use Patreon to sign up or log in directly from the login screen. Additionally, you can link your Patreon account from within your account settings:
- Open your account settings.
- Go to the
Donationstab. - Click the Patreon link button and authorize Ferrumium.
Once linked, Ferrumium reads your Patreon membership and assigns a supporter tier:
- Iron Patron
- Steel Patron
- Awesome Patron
Your tier determines which supporter badge appears on your profile. The badge updates automatically if your Patreon tier changes.
